Hi All, I have taken a new Verizon fios connection + TV cable. I am planning to connect the tv cable to my desktop using HDMI cables. Is that possible in the first place. Basically, I dont have a TV and want to use my desktop (has hdmi port) as TV by connecting directly to fios box. Let me know if this is possible or not or else if I need to buy any other hardware to achieve the same.
Nope wont work!?however?IF your monitor has a tv tuner and an HDMI port you can connect the fios box directly to the monitor?but then you may not be able to use the computer, at least not at the same time??unless your monitor has PNP (picture in picture) you could set it up to use the computer with a small "picture box" that shows the TV. my Son has that feature?its set up to be his Computer, TV set, and play station! Don't ask me how he did it?haven't got a clue!
